The manufacturer of pipe expansion joint must obey to the regulated technical requirements when manufacturing a pipe expansion joint . Today we introduce you the technical requirements for stainless steel pipe expansion joint.
Manufacturing material: the main component metal bellow is made from SUS304(0Cr18Ni9, 1Cr18Ni9Ti), connecting pipe and flange material also could be carbon steel(temperature ranges from -20℃ to 400℃). meanwhile, we can custom-made metal bellows in other materials.
Temperature modify of compensation amount, stiffness: of the actual using temperature of stainless steel pipe expansion joint is higher or lower than 20℃, you can refer to following table to modify the compensation amount X0, Y0, θ0 and stiffness K to confirm the actual compensation and stiffness.
Fatigue failure, safety life and compensation amount: fatigue failure is confirmed on basis of bellow’s structural parameter, compensation amount and pressure value. If actual fatigue failure, is not according with listed fatigue failure, please refer to following table to modify.
Displacement combining: rated displacement including axial displacement XO, lateral displacement YO, angular displacement θ0, it’s the max displacement range for single displacement. If the stainless steel pipe expansion joint would undertake two or more displacements, the compensation amount selection should according with X1/X0+Y1/Y0+θ1/θ0≦1; X0, Y0, θ0 means the single compensation at one fatigue failure. X1, Y10, θ1 is the actual value.
Selection of inner sleeve: the inner sleeve can reduce the leakage of fluid within stainless steel pipe expansion joint, also prevent high speed flowing cause vibration.
Pre-deformation: to make the stainless steel pipe expansion joint locates in well place and reduce piping stress, pre-deformation could be done. Axial stainless steel pipe expansion joint’s pre-deformation amount △X=X[1/2-(TO-Tmin)/(Tmax-Tmin)] X-axial compensation amount mm. (TO=installation temperature; Tmax=max using temperature; Tmin=min using temperature).
