Today Lanphan would like to tell you how a chiller works and what should be noticed when operating a lab water chiller.
Firstly let’s talk about how a chiller works. Before operate the lab water chiller, users need to inject water into the chiller, then high speed motor drives lab water chiller impeller to rotate in a high speed, meanwhile, the water in impeller will rotate at the same time and discharge under the function of centrifuge force, and form a vacuum state around the rotary axis.
When the lab water chiller is fulled with water, the impeller generate centrifugal force. Why the central pressure of impeller is reduced? Because the water in impeller channel swing towards all around and flow into pump shell under the function of centrifugal force, generally the pressure is lower than air inlet hose pressure, and water flow into impeller under the pressure difference, and in this way to provide water continuously.

That is the basic principle of how a chiller works. Then we are going to tell you what should be noticed when operating a lab water chiller.
1.Room temperature and humidity. The normal working room temperature of lab water chiller ≤25℃, humidity≤60%.
2.Movement of lab water chiller. Please avoid inclining the lab water chiller in case of working medium flow into other components and damage the machine.
3.Ventilate and dust prevention. Place the lab water chiller in ventilated place and keep it out of the sun.
4.Working medium. Use clean water or other regulated medium as working medium.
Cooling lab water chiller is the essential partner for rotovap and glass reactor, for other unmentioned questions, please contact our technical staffs for assistance. Email us at sale@lanphan.com
