Laboratory equipment is the essential tools to conduct chemistry experiments. “A handy tool makes a handy man.” The completion of lab equipment directly affect the success or failure of an experiment. Based on different experiment purpose, users should choose different experiment methods and different chemistry lab equipment. So it’s necessary to have an overall understanding of common chemistry lab equipment, in order to grasp its proper usage and complete all kinds of chemistry experiment.
Today we introduce you the common chemistry lab equipment classification, later we’ll tell you more about the application, specification, performance and using notes of common chemistry lab equipment. Please don’t forget to follow on our website.
According to different application, there are 8 classifications of chemistry lab equipments:
1.Measuring type. Mainly used for measure quality, volume, temperature and density, mostly are glassware chemistry lab equipment, including measuring glass, transfer pipette, measuring cylinder, measuring cup, etc..
2.Reaction type. Mainly used for chemical reaction, also includes a part of heating lab equipment, mostly are glass or porcelain equipment. It includes test tube, flask, evaporating dish, crucible , etc..
3.Vessel type. Mainly used for contain or storage solid, liquid, gas and chemical reagent, such as reagent bottle.
4.Separation type. Mainly used for filtration, liquid separation, extraction, evaporation, firing, crystallization, fraction, including funnel, separating funnel, evaporation dish, flask, condenser, crucible, beaker, etc..
5.Solid clamp type. Mainly used to fix and clamp all kinds of chemistry lab equipments and fitting, including iron clamp, iron ring, iron stand and funnel support.
6.Heating type. Mainly used for heating chemistry lab equipments and fitting, including test tube, beaker, flask, evaporating dish, crucible, etc..
7.Matching type. Mainly used to assemble and connect glass tube, glass valve, rubber tube, rubber plug, etc..
